Framatome USGS was contracted to perform work on the Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Idaho National Laboratory (INL) as part of the organization’s plans to expand capacity and evaluate extending operations beyond 2040.
Framatome recently received a Department of Energy voucher via the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear (GAIN) initiative. Under the award, Framatome will work with Argonne National Laboratory to validate computational fluid dynamics for application in nuclear processes with two-phase flow.
