Framatome recently received a Department of Energy voucher via the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear (GAIN) initiative. Under the award, Framatome will work with Argonne National Laboratory to validate computational fluid dynamics for application in nuclear processes with two-phase flow. The results from the project will improve the safety and performance of nuclear fuel designs and will help accelerate the delivery of advanced fuel designs for both light-water and advanced reactor markets.
