Shane Johnson

Shane Johnson is a noted leader and during his 30-year career at the Department of Energy, Shane served in various positions of senior leadership, including the Office of Nuclear Energy’s Acting Assistant Secretary, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Reactor Fleet, and Advanced Reactor Deployment and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science and Technology Innovation. Among his accomplishments, Johnson revolutionized the U.S. government relationship with the U.S. nuclear industry by establishing highly successful and innovative technical partnership mechanisms, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in new private sector investments in nuclear technologies.

Martie L. Larson

Ms. Larson is a businesswoman and former federal senior executive having over 20 years of demonstrated success leading large, science-based organizations and managing complex national and international nuclear nonproliferation programs. She served at the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration as the Associate Assistant Deputy Administrator for the $200M+ Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control. In this capacity, she led a team of 70 and multiple complex programs to strengthen multilateral nonproliferation treaties and agreements, meet export control obligations, enable verifiable reductions in nuclear weapons, and enhance international nuclear safeguards and security of nuclear materials and facilities worldwide. She has held numerous other leadership positions within the Department of Energy as well as at the National Security Council as the Director of Nuclear Threat Reduction. Ms. Larson has led interagency delegations to nearly 40 countries to ensure nuclear security and safeguards obligations were being met.

Ms. Larson advises businesses, including National Laboratories, on issues related to nuclear nonproliferation, government and industry relationship building, and talent development.

Mary Alice Hayward

Mary Alice Hayward leverages over 30 years of government and commercial executive management and leadership experience in international organization operations and financial management, government policy, and human capital development to the governance and strategic direction of leading private or public organizations. She has served in key leadership positions including Deputy Director General at the International Atomic Energy Agency; Vice President Strategy, Government Affairs & Advocacy, AREVA Inc.; Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Nonproliferation Policy and Negotiations (Acting), State Department; Director-Counterproliferation Strategy, National Security Council, The White House; and Professional Staff Member at the Senate Armed Services. She is an expert in nuclear energy policy and nuclear nonproliferation.

Officers

Jeff Whitt, President

Jeff Whitt previously served as Director of Government Services and Advanced Reactors for Framatome Inc. Jeff began his career in the nuclear industry in 1983 and held several positions associated with fabrication, design, and technical management and holds patents associated with the fabrication of nuclear fuel.

Before his previous position, he was a member of Framatome’s U.S. Fuel Business Unit team with responsibility for strategic business development, which included the DOE Accident-Tolerant Fuel program, and he led the effort to grow the services business. In that role, he developed key relationships with the U.S. DOE and the U.S. National Laboratories, promoting Framatome as a strategic partner for the future of nuclear in the U.S.

Dave Ciesielski, Director of Operations

Dave Ciesielski is the Director of Operations. Prior to joining Framatome in 2002, he held a variety of positions in operations and marketing, providing technical solutions to the commercial nuclear power industry with Crane Valve Services and Westinghouse. In his previous role, he was responsible for the protection of Framatome personnel, assets, infrastructure, and information to ensure the company could effectively mitigate, prepare, respond, and recover from any hazard and, in 2020, he led the company’s COVID-19 response team.

David Stevens, Controller

David Stevens serves as the Controller for Framatome US Government Solutions LLC. He has a broad range of financial management experience, from small entrepreneurial companies to large multinational corporations. Most recently, David helped establish a new construction management company, overseeing large institutional construction projects and serving as CFO. Previously, he spent almost 10 years at AREVA NP (now Framatome), serving the last years as Controller for the Installed Base Business Unit.
